Northeastern Manitoba Fishing Lodges

Get back to nature and roam!

The Churchill, Nelson and Seal Rivers cut through the tundra of the far north, flowing into Hudson Bay. In their wake lie cold and clear waters, home to excellent fishing and lodges. This is where legends are born — monster pike, arctic grayling, huge trout and walleye are all lurking in the waters. Fly in through your lodge services or take a commercial or charter flight, or take a short trip from Thompson. If you’re looking at the southern areas of the region, you may find it’s a quick trip from a rural centre or a direct flight from Winnipeg.

The eastern portion of the area boasts the virtually untouched wilderness of the Canadian Shield. Thick forests line the banks of the Hayes, Gods and Knife Rivers, with the water settling into pristine lakes. With Berens, Bloodvein, Pigeon and Poplar river systems flowing into the lake, you’ll find majestic lake trout, giant pike and huge sturgeon. Test yourself as you try to reel in a trophy brook trout!

The fish and the waters have earned their reputation as generation after generation of anglers come to try their hand. With every type of accommodation, like full American-plan lodges to outcamps, you’ll find the getaway that fits your needs.
