Built on Lake Waskaiowaka, just off the Little Churchill River, enjoy the best northern pike fishing Manitoba has to offer. Northern pike are extremely populous in the lake and are readily available. With our catch and release and barbless hook policies, and careful releasing of the northern pike, we can offer trophy fishing trips annually, and for generations to come.

At Mystery Country, enjoy four different outcamps for fishing at; Bear Head Lake, Dafoe Lake and Teal Lake were all established in 1998, with Goose Hunting Lake added five years later. All outposts provide access to remote lakes while showing off the beauty that nature has to offer with island and peninsula views.

Only twenty minutes south of Thompson, Paint Lake Lodge is your destination in Mystery Country! With a new, full-service resort with high speed internet, we have the comforts of home while you experience nature. We are close to many attractions in the Mystery Lake area as well. Enjoy the largest marina in the province, as well as our numerous amenities, including a restaurant, lounge, convenience and clothing store, and laundromat. We offer boat, canoe and dock rentals, as well as daily, weekly or monthly cabins. We have equipment storage, propane and fuel available as well. Open year round for your vacation, you can take a day trip south to Pisew Falls, or north to Thompson or Mystery Mountain for skiing.
